Using lap steel guitar in the deep-in-the-bottom Texas style, Sonny Rhodes has a unique sound. They just don't make 'em like him any more.


Sonny Rhodes has been recording since the late '50s. His gritty tough vocals offer a direct route to your heart and feet, and the music's philosophy says the blues can heal better than any medicine.

He was Junior Parker's valet as a young man before playing behind greats like Albert Collins and Freddie King in the fifties. Then he became a bandleader in his own right and toured relentlessly for a number of years.
