We extend our gratitude to all Recording Artists and Record Labels ...

October 5, 2007

"Let me express my sincere enthusiasm for the projects you are undertaking with Texamericana. To create a role for music to play in the proliferation of cultural diversity in a time of media consolidation is most commendable. The opportunity that Texamericana provides to independent recording artists and record labels to aid and assist in fostering freedom of speech and freedom of the press in individual communities throughout the United States of America is not only innovative but also propitious."

Texamericana was developed to empower recording artists to support community radio.

The purpose of our web system is threefold:

  • to provide nonprofit radio stations with web-based programming tools and broadcast audio distribution of music from artists who support media diversity;
  • to provide the listening public with music from and information about recording artists who support media diversity;
  • to create an opportunity for customers to purchase music that supports nonprofit media organizations.

Now that we have finished our research and development, our web systems will be transfered to Artists For Media Diversity. A4MD's mission is to foster awareness of the need for independent media voices in America, to provide assistance to emerging community-based or public media outlets, and to promote musical and cultural diversity. http://a4md.org
